Twenty-five years after the events of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Charles, Carrie, Fiona, Tom, David, Matthew, Bernard, Lydia and Father Gerald are back in church. But whose wedding is it - and will there be any more familiar faces?

Petty bourgeois Zhigalovs, whose daughter-in-law Dasha is being extradited, find out to their horror that the official Aplombov, who has been caring for Dasha all summer, has dined every day with them and has proved himself to be his bridegroom, is not going to marry at all.

Three former school friends, all grown up in Wedding, the blue collar district of West Berlin, have not seen each other for a decade. They meet in their old teenage hide-out, a storage depot close to the East Berlin Wall in the summer of 1989.

The story is as old as the world: Yaroslav's mother-in-law dislikes Lida's daughter-in-law and tries to convince her son that her predecessor was much better.

Belapur-based Ratan Ramprasad Malhotra lives an impoverished lifestyle along with his wife, Shanti; a sister, Gauri, and Bombay-based law student brother, Ramesh. He makes a lot of sacrifices, including mortgaging his property, in order to ensure the latter's education. Ramesh graduates with good grades, prompting Judge Motilal to get him married to his only child, Kala, on the condition that he move in with his family, which also includes his rather snobbish wife. The marriage takes place, Ramesh accordingly re-locates, while Gauri's wedding is arranged with Raja, the only son of parsimonious dowry-seeking widower Daulatram. Ratan and Ramesh agree to all dowry demands, and the marriage is arranged. On the day of the wedding, Ramesh does not show up, an enraged Daulatram not only humiliates Ratan but also cancels the wedding, and returns home with his son. With creditors lining up, Ratan is unable to handle the situation and becomes ill.

Jane Alexander's idyllic life in San Francisco is shattered when her beloved, elderly aunt is brutally murdered. But when her fiancé, Tom O'Donnell, becomes the main suspect, Jane must put aside her grief to aid the police before the chance at justice is lost forever.
